Always be open to new opportunities. Learn to be comfortable in the uncomfortable!
How did HOSA help you get to where you are today?
HOSA exposed me to the multitude of possible healthcare careers. Without HOSA, I would not have learned about the wide variety of careers within pharmacy and would not be where I am today. HOSA also allowed me to start developing important skills in giving presentations, along with communication and networking.
What are you doing now?
I recently completed my second year of residency which focused primarily on critical care. I am now working as a clinical staff pharmacist at Monument Health in Rapid City, SD, where I mostly work in the ICU and ER.
